Successful completion of the Webinar titled “Job Aspects of Textile Engineering in Bangladesh”
It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Green University Textile Club Permanent Campus successfully organized a webinar titled Job Aspects of Textile Engineering in Bangladesh on 03.04.2021. Around 60 participants participated in the webinar.
In the keynote speech Mr. Ziaur Rahman Rabbi, Sr. Officer, Youngone Corporation, Bangladesh shared the present scenario of job fields for Textile Engineering graduates in Bangladesh. He also suggested suitable job sectors for female graduates. He emphasized on developing different soft skills to get a better job. “Job is a responsibility which you need to do for earnings not for learning” he added. It was a very helpful presentation for the students of the department.
Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) was supposed to be the Chief Guest of the session but unfortunately he was affected by the COVID-19 Corona virus and hospitalized. Hence he was absent. We pray for his quick recovery.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) was Special Guest of the session. During his speech he shared that under the guidance of honorable VC sir, all the members of the Green family are doing their job to uphold the vision, mission and core values of GUB through academic excellence, innovation and interpersonal networking.
The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Dept. of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh. During his concluding speech he shared his views from his vast experiences. He suggested that there are so many scopes of job for Textile graduates. Hence one should set his/her target and act accordingly to achieve the peak of success. He also requested the alumni of the department to maintain communication with the department for the development of the department and also it will help the current students for getting jobs.
