Successful completion of the Industrial visit to Silken Sewing Ltd._Organized by Department of Textile Engineering, GUB

The Department of Textile Engineering successfully organized an Industrial Visit at Silken Sewing Ltd., Baniarchala (Memberbari), Vobanipur, Gazipur. one of the leading industries in our country. Basically, they manufacture and export Woven dresses, knitted t-shirts, polo shirts, sweaters, men’s & ladies dresses etc.

The number of students was 38 comprising 202,203,211,212,213 batches accompanied by two faculty members of the Textile Engineering Department, Mr. Md. Mubashwir Moshwan & Mr. Md. Al Amin Hossain.

The journey began at 08:00 o’clock in the morning. We reached the industry around 10:20 o’clock. The industry welcomed us with an introductory speech about the industry. The students were then separated into three groups, each group being given a supervisor and two faculty members continuously helping to collaborate with them. They visited all the dept. of the factory i.e knitting, cutting, printing, sewing and finishing section under the supervision of the assigned supervisor. Students documented their learning in a notebook and gave reflections to the faculties. Finally, they bid us adieu at 3:00 pm.
