Successful Completion of Iftar Mahfil-2022 Organized by the Department of Textile Engineering

It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Department of Textile Engineering has successfully organized Iftar Mahfil-2022 on 22.04.2022 (Friday) in A-302, A-301 and A-310, City Campus, Green University of Bangladesh. Around 170 students, 30 alumni members and 20 faculty members and guests were present in the program.

The program started with recitation from the Holy Quran. Then, Dr. Md. Shariful Islam, Associate Professor and Mentor Moderator, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh delivered his welcome speech. After that, Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh delivered his insightful speech. He specially mentioned about the five things every Muslim should try to do in the holy month of Ramadan. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Honorable Advisor, Green University of Bangladesh emphasized the importance of Ramadan in his brief speech.

After that, Md. Shahidul Alam, President, Alumni Association of the Department of Textile Engineering and Md. Ikbal Abir, President, Green University Textile Club, gave brief speeches. Dr. Jagannath Biswas, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering and Prof. Dr. Ismail Chowdhury, Professor, Department of Textile Engineering focused on the positive sites of fasting in their speeches.

Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh presided over the program. He thanked all the organizers of the program for arranging a very tidy program in his concluding remarks. Finally, Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Honorable Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh led the Doya Mahfil before Iftar. Some glimpses of the program are attached below.
