Successful Completion of Grand Inauguration Ceremony of TEX FEST-2021
Assalamu Alaikum. Hope you are fine by the grace of Almighty. It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Grand Inauguration Ceremony of TEX FEST-2021 has successfully completed with a huge and spontaneous participation from the students of the Department of Textile Engineering, alumni members, faculty members and distinguished guests. Around 100 participants were present in the Grand Inauguration Ceremony of TEX FEST-2021 and enjoyed the program very much.
TEX FEST-2021 inaugurated at 09:30 AM by maintaining one minute of silence to show respect to the memory of Mahdi Hasan Liman, who departed in a terrible road accident on 03.12.2021. Then the recitation from the Holy Quran took place. After that, Md Mutasim Uddin, Lecturer and Moderator, Green University Textile Club welcomed everyone to TEX FEST-2021 and focused about the theme of TEX FEST-2021 in his brief speech.
After that, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh focused on the importance of extra-curricular activities, cultural activities and games among students.
In his brief speech as Special Guest, Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering highlighted about the recent success of the Department of Textile Engineering in numerous arenas.
Prof. Dr. Md. Fayjur Rahman, Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh welcomed everyone in TEX FEST-2021 and he specially focused on the importance of club activities in his speech as special guest.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Advisor, Green University of Bangladesh, put light on the 4th industrial revolution and introduction of automation, machine learning, AI in almost every industry. He emphasized on the skill-sets that a textile engineer should acquire to face the challenges of the changing times in his speech as Special Guest.
Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh and Chief Guest of the Program delivered a very informative and data-driven speech in which he showed us why it is so important to divert the textile industry of Bangladesh from producing conventional wear to manufacturing more value-added technical products. His speech was very insightful indeed.
Dr. Jagannath Biswas, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh thanked everyone for coming to the program and wished a successful program.
Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh summed up the whole discussion in his speech. He also thanked all the guests, organizers of the program and all the participants. He wished for a successful TEX FEST-2021.
Mr. Monowar Hossain Palash, Director, ASUTEX International, Malaysia, Managing Director, Inobiz, Canada, Vice-President, Biomedical Research Foundation started his speech by showing sympathy for Mahdi Hasan Liman. Then he discussed about the current trend of business in the western world and explain why that will determine the future of textile industry in Bangladesh. He gave our students various suggestions regarding career development in home and abroad. And finally, there was a long question-answer session. Our students asked a lot of relevant questions spontaneously and the segment was so interactive that we had to extend the program beyond our schedule time.
