Successful Completion of Webinar on All Over Printing organized by Green University Textile Club (GUTC)

Greetings from the Department of Textile Engineering. Hope you are doing well.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Green University Textile Club (GUTC) has successfully organized a Webinar on All Over Printing on 11.09.2021. The program started with an inauguration speech from Md Mutasim Uddin, Moderator (GUTC) and Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB).

In his keynote speech Engr. S. M. Abdur Rahman, Life Fellow-IEB, President, All Over Printing Technologists of Bangladesh, General Manager (Operations), Unifill Tex BD Group concisely discussed the total process of all over printing from screen preparation to putting impression on fabric. He showed numerous photos and several videos to our students which he has collected from his industry. He introduced our students with the latest technologies in the field of all over printing.

Guest speaker Engr. Kamrul Hasan, Printing Manager, Unifill Textiles Mills Ltd. and Engr. Asadul Islam Asad, Asst. Manager, Printing, Rahim Textiles Mills Ltd. focused on all over printing process using reactive color and pigment color respectively.

After the main session, there was an open question-answer segment in which our students as well as faculty members asked different questions regarding technical sides and also career prospects in all over printing industry in Bangladesh.

Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) discussed the necessity of collaboration between industry and academia to remain up-to-date in his concluding remarks. He wholeheartedly thanked the speakers for their valuable efforts to make the program a success. He also wished to continue this type of knowledge exchanging program from the Department.
