Successful completion of Industrial Visit to Metro Knitting & Dyeing Mills Ltd. by The Department of Textile Engineering

Assala’mualaikum, hope you are doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah.

I’m very happy to share with you that on 04 September 2022 (Sunday), the Department of Textile Engineering has successfully organized an Industrial Visit at Metro Knitting & Dyeing Mills Ltd. Fatullah, Narayangonj is one of the leading industries in our country. It’s main products are Knitted T-shirts, Polo shirts, men & ladies dresses and blazers. Also it is an ECO friendly Industry.

There were 33 students, participated in this visit, all of them from city campus 191 Batch. They were accompanied by three faculty members of the Textile Department, Mr. Md. kaikobad, Mr. Nabayel Shahed & Mr. Ishmam Ibnul Arabi.

The journey began at 8:00 o’clock in the morning. We reached the industry about 10 am. The industry welcomed us with open arms. The Head of Admin and HR department Mr. Nitai sir presented an introductory welcoming speech towards the students. The students were then separated into two groups, each group being given a supervisor. We visited the knitting section, dyeing section, printing section, finishing section, washing section, and ETP plant under the supervision of the assigned supervisor. Students documented their learning in a notebook and gave reflection to the faculties. Finally, the DGM and AGM sir of this industry met for 10 minutes to conclude the program.

The morning snacks and lunch were also provided by the industry. Overall, it was a very fruitful day for the students. Some glimpse of that has been attached below.
