Successful Completion of Freshers’ Orientation Program (Department of Textile Engineering) for Fall-2021 Semester

 We are glad to inform you that the Department of Textile Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh has successfully organized the Freshers’ Orientation Program for Fall-2021 semester. Around 75 participants took part in the program actively. The program was divided in the following segments –

Freshers’ Orientation Program for Fall-2021 semester started at 07:00 PM, 19.10.2021 with the recitation from Holy Quran.

Md Mutasim Uddin, Lecturer and Moderator (GUTC), Department of Textile Engineering welcomed the fresher students to the Department of Textile Engineering.

Md. Mazharul Helal, Lecturer and Deputy Moderator (GUTC), Department of Textile Engineering delivered a brief presentation about the faculty profiles of the department.

Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator, briefed about various academic activities to the fresher students.

Sadia Sultana and Jannatul Ferdous Binte Azam, Alumni Member, Department of Textile Engineering highlighted various job opportunities of GUB textile graduates.

Md. Al Amin Hossain, Lecturer and Master Facilitator, Department of Textile Engineering conducted a hands-on training session on Zoom and Google Classroom for the fresher students of Fall-2021 semester.

Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Associate Professor and Mentor Moderator, Department of Textile Engineering, briefed about the mentorship program. He nicely covered the support and facilities students get from GUB faculty members and officials.



Dr. Jagannath Bishwas, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, briefed about various achievements of the Department. He also mentioned various aspects of quality education and offered the freshers’ students a very warm welcome.

Prof. Dr. Ismail Chowdhury, Professor, Department of Textile Engineering focused on the job opportunities of GUB textile graduates in various government and private organizations.

 Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, chaired the whole program, summarized the strengths of the department, focused the overall prospects of textile education in Bangladesh and finally concluded the session with thanksgiving to the organizers of the program.
