Seminar on “Prospects of Merchandising and Future of the Garment Sector during the COVID-19”

A Seminar titled “Prospects of Merchandising and Future of the Garment Sector during the COVID-19” was successfully held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 7:30 PM via zoom online platform, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh.
Honourable Vice-Chancellor of GUB, Prof. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir and honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque graced the seminar as Chief Guest and Special Guest of the seminar respectively and adorned the program with their valuable and directional speech about the prospects of merchandising.
Md. Aminul Islam (Amin), Head of Marketing and Merchandising, Glare Fashions Limited was the keynote Speaker of the Seminar. The speaker discussed the background of Merchandising as well as the career opportunities and challenges in various fields in Textile Industries in Bangladesh for both male and female workers. He also tried to focus on the impact of COVID-19 in the RMG sector in Bangladesh. There was also a question & answering session with the students.
